Answers to some of the more frequent questions:

The Mediterranean Social Forum (MedSF) will be celebrated in Barcelona the 16-19 of June of 2005.
    It is a regional Forum within the principles of World Social Forum with participation of people of the three borders, south, east and north of the Mediterranean.

    You can find the 7 axes and their developed content in axes, the debate spaces are described in spaces .

    On the part of the organization of the FSMed it will be developed a conference by each one of 7 axes and 2 more on Area of free commerce and Nourishing (food) Sovereignty. You can see the titles and contained in conferences .

    The rest of activities is self-managed by the participant organizations and movements, that must to communicate their participation (before the 15 of April) through RegistrationForo.

    Parallelly will be made encounters and an assembly of the social movements of the Mediterranean.

Who takes part in the FSMed? :
    The FSMed is an open event and therefore all who wish to attend it may do so, as long as they respect the principles of the FSM. Of course, the people and organisations that have contributed in organising the event will be the main participants. A list of participating organisations is available under the ‘Documents/Debates’ heading.
How is the FSMed organised? :
    There is an International General Assembly, which is the largest decision-making body. It has met four times: the first time in Rabat (3-4 May 2003), the II in Naples (4-6 July 2003), the III in Cyprus (26-28 march 2004) , the IV in Malaga (24-24 September 2004), the V in Marseilles (14-16 January 2005),and the VI in Istambul (14-18 april -2005). In addition, working groups have been created: Technical Secretariat, Coordination International, Program, Enlargement and Logistics-finances, Women, Culture, Area of Free Commerce .

    Each population or geographic area organise themselves independently on a local level.
